National Museum Library
In 2014, the activities of the National Museum Library brought two important changes in the structure of the department and in the depository arrangement: Operation of the Museum of Books in Žďár nad Sázavou was discontinued and the library left its rented detached depository in the town of Radonice nad Ohří. Professional administration of collections and library collections was performed based on the capability of particular departments, while the established performance standards were met. Library services to the public were still limited because of the necessity to operate four reading rooms during the reconstruction of the historical building: three in different places in Prague, one in Terezín. Intensive work was performed on digitization both on the very digitization site and through a subsidy from the VISK6 programme. It was the third year of two research projects arising out of the types and nature of NML funds. In the unique sphere of the castle libraries collections, which are under NML administration, the NAKI research project browses through the list of prints of 16th century in the castle libraries. The second project, PROVENIO, dealing with the research methodology of book provenances, confirmed its viability, apparent even last year judging by the foreign acceptance, and the distinguished methodology of dealing with the book collection based on provenance was certified by the Czech Ministry of Culture.
